Cyclocross Season is ON

The first race of the Rockford Cyclocross series was success! We had a total of 38 riders that led to great racing in all fields. The A group had 11, the B’s had 19, the women had 7, and Henry Coppolillo as the only junior. Henry finished 8th overall, and would have won the B group outright. Nice ride Henry! John Curry asserted his domination of the A group with a strong win in that field. Rounding out the points for the A’s was Levin Zars, Alan Adams, our own Justin Raynes and Lucian Hand. The B group winner was Jordan Holsinger followed by Michael Voth, Nate lorlle, our own Brant Wiehardt, and Tom Owens. The Womens field had a group of strong riders, but in the end Lizzy Adams got he best of the group with a strong win. Second place went to our own Anna Dingman, followed by Lisa Curry, Ivy Pederson (another Rockford star), and Katie Davis. The course was fast, dry and dusty and we ran the traditional course setup for the first race. The racing looked tough but I’m sure everyone will be ready to go again next week!
